December 4 Wild Cave Tour Go beyond where the average tourist explores! This 2.5 hour adventure is for those of you ready to explore on your knees, on your belly, in the mud and through tight tunnels. Explore in one of NE Alabama's most unique all-weather caves, Manitou Cave, in the heart of For Payne. December 5 Blow Your Own Ornament This has become a continued tradition around Orbix Hot Glass. Come design and laterally “blow” your own ornament with the help of one of our glass artists. People of all ages, (ok, you have to be at least 5 years of age) and groups of all sizes are welcome. Don’t forget to bring your camera! December 5 Winter Fairy Houses & Hobbit Hike (Children’s Nature Observation Skills Enjoy a short “hobbity” hike through an enchanted forest to identify places where fairies might live or play to teach observation skills to budding young naturalists. Renee Morrison was taught to make fairy houses by her grandmother and has been making fairy houses with her sons and nature campers for decades. December 5 - 6 Christmas in Mentone The Mentone Log Cabin Village will be having a time of shopping, eating, and a visit from Santa. Santa will be in the village on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Come and enjoy time with Santa and give him your Christmas list. The village will be providing this fun family experience each weekend in the month of December.
December 6 Christmas at the Opera House Celebrate the holidays by listening to a talented mix of musicians perform in the historic Fort Payne Opera House.
